Introducing Italy, our newest European destination! Immerse yourself in the culture and history of this iconic destination, with the soft adventure excursions, meaningful cultural experiences, wine tasting opportunities and first class accommodations that Nature Expeditions International is renowned for.

Amazing Amalfi

With an English-speaking guide and comfortable private vehicle, you will drive the panoramic Amalfi coast on the first day of your Italian holiday, experiencing breathtaking views over both the Gulf of Salerno and the Gulf of Naples. Continue around the headland to reach the small fishing village of Massa Lubrense, before arriving in Sorrento, where you may visit the Museo Correale di Terranova. Formerly an 18th century palace, the museum houses splendid examples of local marquetry work, an archeological section and a collection of 17th and 18th century furniture and Neapolitan paintings. One can’t visit Amalfi without spending time in Positano. One of the most stunning towns on the Amalfi Coast, bask in the Mediterranean sun on the Fornillo or Spiaggia Grande beaches, shop in the colorful boutiques or walking up Sentiero degli Dei, the mountain path which traverses the Monti Lattari from Agerola, offering the most spectacular views.

Breathtaking Baroque

Definitely the highlight of our new Italy itinerary is day 5, where your full-day tour will allow you to Visit the Vatican Museums, part of the Papal Residence which is estimated to contain 1400 rooms, chapels and galleries. The Museums contain an extraordinarily rich collection of precious arts, maps, sculptures and antiquities however the most breathtaking masterpiece is Michelangelo’s frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. The present Cathedral is a beautiful mix of Renaissance and Baroque architecture, formed under the hands of masters such as Michelangelo. Your tour includes express entry to the Vatican Museums, past the regular lines.

Captivating Capri

An exciting (and short) 40 minute hydrofoil ride to the Island of Capri is the highlight of your second day on tour. Bring comfortable shoes to hike this craggy and picturesque island – see first hand why so many artists were inspired by this Mediterranean gem. If you prefer a more intimate and relaxed day on the Island of Capri, consider our second excursion offer, visiting the town of Anacapri, the iridescent Blue Grotto and beautiful Villa San Michele, built in the late 19th century atop Roman palace ruins.

Of course, these ABCs are only a small part of our our Italy itinerary – Rome, Venice, Pompei, Naples, Murano, Burano and Torcello are all towns and regions explored during your distinguished Italian holiday.
